There is a new very classy stable in Zhang Jia Gang. A friend Logos Hall has been made manager of the stable.
I’ve known Logos for a couple of years. We have a lot in common as he is a classical pianist, I’m a classical guitarist, he
is a horseman and so am I plus we both have an interest in China. He is a Chinese American and I’m China enthusiast.
I went to visit him knowing he had been at his new job only a few months. I had heard about the stable because I was
hired to take care of some of the horses that went to the stable while they were in quarantine 4 years ago. Logos and
Huai Qing picked me up at the train station. Huai Qing is the sister of the young man who started the stable. At the moment
it is under the owner ship of this family only. I got there and was stunned. It was a very comfortable club house with showers,
bar and changing rooms. It has a large indoor arena regulation size as well as an outdoor arena and a couple of barns.
Logos took me to the barns to introduce me to the horses As we walked through the barn one horse stuck her head out of
the stall as far as she could reach as I walked by. By now I have enough experience to know I may not recognize that horse
but the horse recognized me! I looked in my iphone and sure enough there is a picture of that horse who I cared for in
quarantine 4 years ago. Horses never forget !
